About Lash & Brow tinting & Brow shaping Training Courses At nkd ( )
This course covers the technique for eyebrow shaping, eyelash tinting, the application of strip lashes and the application of flare lashes. It also includes fantastic anatomy & physiology resources with clear diagrams and images. Reception, consultation and aftercare guidance is covered as well as contra-indications to the treatment. During the practical training session at nkd () you will learn all the techniques required to be able to deliver lash and brow services for your clients.

As head of Treatments & Training in our busy commercial salons since 2018, Louise is also Chief Trainer at nkd ( ) the waxing and beauty school. In a previous life, Louise held Managerial and Training roles at Steiner, the world-leading cruise liner. Known for their exceedingly high professional standards, Louise has decades of global spa experience that she loves sharing with aspiring beauty therapists who want to learn!
Sarah
Sarah has been our Senior Waxing & Beauty Therapist at nkd ( ) Leicester since 2017,
as well as a Waxing and Lash & Brow Trainer for nkd ( ) the waxing & beauty school.

FAQS
For our lash and brow courses you don’t need any existing beauty therapy experience or qualifications. These courses are Guild Training International (GTI) courses delivered by nkd. Before being accepted onto the practical course, all students must enrol and complete the GTI Professional standards course which covers the basic requirements of health and safety, legislation, hygiene, and sanitisation as well as personal appearance, and professional ethics. It is a Guild requirement that you complete this course before your lash and brow course theory.
Yes please! You will be required to act as a model on the practical day to ensure everyone on the course receives enough practise. It’s also great for you to experience the treatments to help you promote them to your clients. Everyone receiving a treatment on the practical day needs to have a patch test, therefore please let us know at the time of booking if you’re not able to attend at least 24hrs prior to your training to receive a patch test, and we will make sure we have models available for you to work on.
You are required to complete 1 full treatment during the practical training, however at nkd we work hard to get additional models in to allow you to have extra practise and develop your skills further.
To protect ourselves and you, nkd has high standards. If we do not feel you have reached the required level on the day of your course, we are sorry but we will be unable to certify you. In that instance, you will be given one month to go away, practice your techniques and return to nkd to be re-assessed. Unfortunately, we will not be able to refund you the cost of your course or any associated monies if you fail your reassessment.
You will be asked to pay a minimum 50% of the cost of your course upon booking in order to secure your place. The balance is payable 4 weeks before your training date.
If you cancel up to 4 weeks before your course, you are entitled to a 100% refund. If you cancel up to 2 weeks before your course, you are entitled to a 50% refund of the cost of the course, unless you manage to find a replacement student for the same course date. If you cancel with less than 2 weeks’ notice, we will be unable to refund the cost of your course, unless you manage to find a replacement student for the same course date. In these cases, we reserve the right to charge a £15 administration fee.
Maximum class sizes will be 6 – 8 students, but our typical class size is usually 4 – 6 students. nkd feels very strongly that class sizes should be kept small/the relevant number of trainers are on hand to ensure that every student gets as much attention as possible. We recommend that you think very carefully before enrolling on any training courses which accept more than 6 – 8 students, unless a second trainer will be present.
Lunch is not provided. There are lots of supermarkets, cafes and bars near to our salons and training centres where you can buy lunch from.
Please wear normal professional salon working attire, e.g. a tunic or something similar.
